A-Frame Cabin Coat Display for Bloomingdale's Flagship, NYC

For this project we were asked to build a miniature cabin for mannequins and props to display fall/winter clothes and accessories. We built an A-frame cabin and deck, complete with windows and a metal roof.

This tiny cabin with a “flip up” consumer facing 4th wall awning provides a cozy feeling retail display for winter gear. We wanted to give the cabin a reclaimed rustic finish, while also giving it a smooth and soft surface finishes appropriate for a retail environment. We achieved this by using different stains and alternating the siding boards in a random pattern.
